Kathmandu, 6 September. The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that the global epidemic of corona virus could end in less than two years. Corona epidemics have been more successful in controlling the spread of the Spanish flu in 1918, according to WHO chief Dr. Tedros Edhanum Gabrias.
He said globalization and human contact around the world have led to the rapid spread of corona infection worldwide. However, due to the latest science and technology, corona epidemic control is very likely to be successful, said Tedros.
The Spanish flu, which spread for two years from February 1918 to April 1920, was extremely difficult to control. Today’s newspaper has published the news that the epidemic has claimed the lives of 20 million people around the world.
